Lisa Campbell
About Lisa
Having obtained her Master’s in occupational therapy from the University of Toronto, Ms. Lisa Campbell has been a regulated health professional for approximately 2 decades in the field of Occupational Therapy (OT), assisting a wide cross-section of clients within hospital, community and clinic-based settings.
Her breadth of further complementary accreditations/certifications include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Neurodevelopmental Treatment (NDT), Progressive Goal Attainment Program (PGAP), Functional Cognition and Return to Work, Coaching for Return-To-Work, Ergonomic Evaluations, Cognitive Functional Capacity Evaluation, Managing Concussions in Clinical Practice, Goal Management Training, Life Care Planning, and Clinical Leader Professional. All of which have served her career of experiential wealth and competence in primarily assessing and treating individuals with mild-to-moderate Traumatic Brain/Concussive, neurological, orthopaedic and mental health (dual diagnosis) catastrophic injuries.
In expanding her passion to address and improve the overall health and wellbeing of others, and among her many adjunct accreditations, Lisa also obtained a post-degree diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Management (OHSM) from Western University. This acquisition of OHS knowledge has given her the added, advantageous and complementary lens to her already- established Occupational Therapy expertise.
To the benefit of her clients and various stakeholders, the marriage of these two areas (OT+OHSM) has resulted in Lisa developing and enhancing her unique skill sets to conduct a range of work-safety evaluations, including (but not limited to) workplace risk assessments, RTW/job-site assessments, as well as comprehensive job demands evaluations in mitigating or proactively addressing at-work risks, occupational injury, and illness prevention.
Further Lisa was selected as and awarded one of the few Presenter spots at the recent XXII World Congress on Safety and Health at Work. This was pursuant to her creation of a 6-step occupational health and safety solution titled. H.E.L.P. M.E.: “From Best-Practices to Must-Practices; An Innovative Solution to Improving Workplace Safety”. This achievement has and continues to strongly inform and guide Lisa’s comprehensive cognitive-behavioural rehabilitation, return-to-work, and stay-safe-at-work programs and consultations, in successfully bridging the safety and accommodations gap between her clients and their employers.
In her recreational time, Lisa can be found reminiscing on her years of representing Canada at major junior and senior international track and field events, investing in her faith, spending quality time with her family and over-feeding her dog treats.
