About Val
Val Cremanaru is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor who promotes health and wellness by focusing on the whole person to address the underlying causes of health disorders. Using a gentle, natural, and holistic approach, Val treats a wide range of health problems. His philosophy emphasizes stimulating and strengthening the body’s natural resources to activate healing forces with minimal discomfort to the patient.
Val’s journey to health and wellness began with an initial interest in weight loss. Experiencing steady weight gain, he sought solutions and discovered the works of renowned French nutritionist Michel Montignac, a pioneer in nutrition and weight loss. By applying Montignac’s concepts, Val lost 50 pounds, resolved personal health issues, and experienced a transformative shift in life. These principles were also applied within his family, leading to profound health improvements for his loved ones. Witnessing the power of natural medicine and lifestyle changes inspired Val to transition from a career in business to naturopathy—a healing art closely aligned with his philosophy on health and disease.
A significant influence on Val’s journey was the work of Edgar Cayce, a holistic teacher from the early 20th century, whose writings shaped his perspective on health and the world. As a result, Val is a proud member of Edgar Cayce Canada.
Academically, Val is a graduate of the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (Toronto), one of only two accredited naturopathic schools in Canada. During his internship, Val worked under the supervision of the esteemed Dr. Jonathan Prousky, ND, Chief Naturopathic Medical Officer at the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic, on the Mental Health shift. This rewarding experience introduced him to Dr. Prousky’s Orthomolecular approach to mental health. His passion and knowledge inspired Val to grow as a doctor and person, deepening his understanding of health and disease.
Val is trained in Acupuncture and Traditional Asian Medicine, Botanical Medicine, Homeopathy, Physical Medicine, Orthomolecular Medicine, and Lifestyle Counseling. He uses these therapies in an individualized way for each patient, respecting the physical and spiritual differences that make each journey through life special.
Currently, Val has a family medical practice with special interests in stress-related disorders, endocrine issues, immune diseases, cancer, and mental health. Val is also fluent in Romanian.
Val is licensed in Ontario by the College of Naturopaths of Ontario (CNO) under the Naturopathy Act, 2007, which was proclaimed on July 1, 2015. He is also a proud member of the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors and the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors.
